Who Needs Superfood Anyways?

TTS Bali Project, Introducing Volunteer Coordinator Syd Joseph

Intro2

How it all Started

Hi!  My name is Syd Joseph and I am the founder and volunteer coordinator of the Aurora Bali Project (ABProject). When I think about the connections and path that led me (and us) to this point, it makes me wonder if things are “meant to be” or if things come about because of effort and planning, or most likely, a combination of both? I’ll tell you the story of how I came to meet Omid and Gabrielle and let you be the judge…

Cleanse Day 28

Gabrielleandgrapes

BRAVO! today was my last day. I have mixed emotions about it though. It seems that it was the hardest to complete because I knew that soon I could eat some delicious plump grapes. When you know you have 4 days to go you try not to think about food because you still have quite some time left but when the finish line is there it's so much in your mind. My new mantra...grapes, grapes, grapes!

Cleanse Day 27

Ha Ya! Day 27 was a rough one. Double kindy which mean 2 intense classes with 30 four year olds on a very limited supply of energy. I'm shattered! But I have to say those kids bright smiles and super punches!!! give me all the love and fuel to go on happily.

No More Cravings. Not Me!

Only tomorrow to go. It's amazing, I can't believe it. I'm so happy to have completed the program. And now I can't wait to delve into the treats Omid's Dad sent us from Ozzie. Some people say that cleanses get rid of their cravings well either I'm just a different kind of apple or perhaps others will agree that they don't get rid of them, sometimes they even enhance them but you know you have the power to resist them.

Cleanse Day 26

I'm almost at the finish line. Cleansing for me is like a love and hate relationship.
I love the fact that I am cleaning my body, giving it the love and care that it deserves but when you are faced with delicious food the emotional part tends to run wild. As well as the taste buds. For the first 3 weeks I managed to escape from most temptations but now that my friends are here I'm just a witness to their many culinary pleasures.

Cleanse Day 24

The Forces Of Nature Are Definitely Working  Against Me

Today is like a test day. How far can we push Gabrielle without her cracking?

1st Drama

This morning we got a delicious package from Omid's father who lives in Australia. Talk about bad timing. I was just drooling when I saw the Iranian dates. All of my senses were buzzing. I had to ask Omid to hide them with the almonds and the  pistachios and the Iranian goji berries.
